Photographs - Tathagata Sarkar.
Special effects - Tathagata Sarkar and Varun Jagadish Sharma

Wittgenstein, wasn't it, who said that India lives in its villages ?'
'No, Gandhi.'

How true !!

His real ambition was to be a domesticated male stray dog because they lived the best life.
They were assured of food, and because they were stray they didnt have to guard a house or beg or shake paws or fetch trifles or be clean or anything similarly meaningless to earn their food.
They were servile and sycophantic when hungry;once fed,and before sleep, they wagged their tails perfunctorily whenever their hosts passes,as an investment for future meals.
A stray dog was free,he slept a lot, barked unexpectedly and only when he wanted to,and got a lot of sex

…maybe yes…maybe no…maybe I don’t know.
The mind is restless, o Krishna.
English looked for happiness in living more than one life, and had failed, but with such grace !!!

IIM Calcutta - the land of seven lakes

(If u r searching for US in the photograph ... well, the exposure was set to 30 seconds and he 'vanished from the scene' immediately after providing the 'special effect'. )

( The poor orientation is because of the absence of a tripod :-(
and the sole resting place for the camera was a slanted inclined plane )

No color effect has been used

Taking this brilliant picture of the sunrise from inside the hut at 5:30 am - Priceless
