Eid

The world will move if you are ready or not - a bystander waits motionless on the road while the traffic and crowd hustles and bustles through.

Kotachiwadi

Khotachiwadi is a heritage village in Girgaon, Mumbai, and consists of a set of 28 dainty and colorful villas set in Portuguese style of architecture (there used to be 65 originally, but greedy capitalists bought over half of them to build skyscrapers) .

Juhu

Crimson Tide

Violent waves and a tranquil sunset

It was a failed experiment actually - I arrived a little late for the photographs. And the amount of sunlight was terribly low. The exposure required to capture the fading sun in the background was so long that the water drops in the foreground stopped appearing granular. I planned to make another trip to try the same shoot and get better results - but I simply could not make time for it during my short stint in Mumbai. Now that I have left Mumbai and I am not sure about the next opportunity I will get for shooting such a picture - I am therefore putting the best fotos from that late evening photo-shoot here

Satyamev Jayate

Satyameva Jayate
(Truth Alone Triumphs)

The Self is the sun shining in the sky,
The wind blowing in space; he is the fire
At the altar and in the home the guest;
He dwells in human beings, in gods, in truth,
And in the vast firmament; he is the fish
Born in water, the plant growing in earth,
The river flowing down the mountain.
For this Self is supreme!

(Katha Upanishad II.2.2)
